Ice and eHow
We have had a bit of warm weather (well above freezing point anyway) that has meant that snow has melted a bit and we have had "freezing rain" now what exactly the difference is between rain and freezing rain and hail is I don't know but none of them is snow. Anyway all this melted snow and freezing rain turns to ice when it drops below freezing point as it does quite often here this means ICE.
ice is good stuff in your drink and good stuff to skate on but not so good to drive on
This morning we took Cass to school and when we got home we tried to drive up the driveway (minimal slope) but the car just would not move the engine was going the wheels where turning but we where not going anywhere the wheels just spun. Lucky we have a secret weapon. When we switched to 4 wd we actually got some traction and made it into the shed. I put a picture on my flickr you can see the nice shiny ice. Trucks came past putting salt on the roads but we decided to stay home today. We had a quiet day at home today enjoying each others company.
